Crew Member

Transports furniture and related items. Wrap furniture and pack appropriate items in boxes.Operates mechanical equipment as required to facilitate loading, unloading, and transport of household goods.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Loads and unloads furniture and related materials onto and off trucks, ensuring that appropriate padding and ropes are used to prevent damage.
2. Operates mechanical lift gates, and mechanical platforms to facilitate loading and unloading of materials, as appropriate to the area of operation.
3. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
4. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Conditions of Employment

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
• Work environment involves some physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Move Coordinator

• Maintain point of contact interaction with customers
• Register local, intrastate and interstate household goods moves
• Keep customers informed of their move status from start to finish
• Organize customer accounts and files
• Process paperwork in a timely manner
• Manage shipment files
• Answer Customer Service questions via telephone and email

Computer requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel and Outlook.)
• Professional Customer Service skills
• Highly motivated
• Ability to multitask
• Must be able to communicate politely and effectively
